Match report I HATE writing match reports! At this stage in the season I have to resort to a thesaurus to find new & exciting adjectives. Not that I can think of many that would give justice to this match......

Chloe's 133 not out deserves to be recorded as Magnificent & Inspiring. Her maiden century for the Ladies, absolutely wonderful to watch & richly deserved. She was ably supported by Laura, quickly emerging as our second top scoring bat and Alice (not a hook shot in sight) Micklethwaite!
239 off 35 overs is a huge score in Ladies cricket and we were on a high going into field.

At this point something important needs to be noted. NEVER, EVER, EVER give Skittles to the Yorkers to celebrate wickets. NEVER.

It took just 2 wickets for us to be reduced to hyper, Queen singing, silly, well, although I hate to say it, females. 2 wickets! That equates to just 4/5 skittles each. Must be the food colouring. Or maybe the sugar? Not that we allowed it to distract us from the cricket. Far from it. We really took the game to Burridge and were on fire throughout the 35 overs. Superb fielding, tight bowling and excellent keeping from Sue (using somewhat innovative parts of her body!) saw us restrict Burridge to 105 for 5.
Every player contributed and the team spirit and self belief shone through.

Surely this is what cricket is all about?! And more importantly, can we have too much fun?!!
