Yateley beat local rivals for 2nd time !!
Yateley reached the final of the Aylward Cup on Tuesday comfortably beating local rivals Eversley by 6 wickets.
Yateley lost the toss and had to field on a gloomy Yateley evening. Eversley scored freely but they were unable to get totally on top of Yateley’s attack.
Jon Sebanja and Jacques especially, kept the batsmen in check and despite a late flurry Eversley were held to 149 for 5.
Yateley got off to a flyer with Jimmy Halson and Ryan Bone scoring freely. However the game was won thanks to a wonderful 71 run partnership between Sebanja and James Muir. James finished the game on his knees are 42 to ensure we were always ahead of the clock. Yateley reached their target for the loss of 4 wickets with 18 balls to spare.
The final is on Tuesday 22nd July 6pm at Basingstoke so come along and support the boys in their endeavours to win our first trophy of the season.
