Mens League
Yateley finished their indoor league season with a convincing 2 wicket victory over Hook Hoonics. They won 7 of their 8 matches and won the title by 31 points only loosing to Serious Cricket who finisehd bottom of the league. This is the first time YCC have won since entering the league more than 10 years ago.
Dan Vincent scored 25 plus in all games he played and James Muir scored 2 50's and 2 scores of 25+. Liam Doran who was a late addition to the side was top wicket taker taking 8 wickets, including 4 for 6 v Hook Hammers. Interestingly the main bowlers Anthony Muir and Harry Bartlett only took 3 wickets between them all season, showing that there is more to bowling that just taking wickets!! Rob Barrett was the other ever present team member whose enthusiasm and effort were second to none.
Let's hope this is the first of many trophies for the club this season!!!!

Apologies for the pictures but apparently the Team Manager can't work his phone camera, and apologies to Rob, it was the only photo I could find of you. Liz
Indoor Junior League
U13
The U13s were pipped for runners up place by Hook. It's very difficult to always field consistent sides at this age group and we were indebted to a number of U10 and 11s who turned out for the team and did really well. (No points for myself for fixing the crucial Hook re-arranged game as well as the Fair Oak match, during Half- term week! Lesson learned).

U11
The U11s finished with a defeat against champions Hook in the league decider which meant that we had to settle for second place. The team has played extremely well all winter and finished with a record of 6 wins and 4 defeats. We gave 10 or more players games and played at a very good standard which augers well for the summer.

Finally very many thanks to all the parents who battled the M3 to enable us to get teams out and also to those who scored, collected match fees etc.
Best wishes
Colin
