YCC - Highlights of Week (on and off the pitch!) - 3rd June - 9th June

• Five-fer for Joe McGowan as 4ths defend 82 to beat Teddington 4ths, with 3 for his brother Anthony (Joe McGowan 6-4-3-5, Anthony McGowan 8.5-2-22-3)
• 1sts beat Sonning, taking the last wicket in the penultimate over   (A Peace 52, A Muir 8-0-37-4, H Bartlett 9-3-20-2)
• 2nds beat Cove 3 (J Howells 66, G Pienaar 17-7-28-2, O Dodd 10-2-34-2, H Wheeler 9.5-0-36-3, 4 catches for D Bone behind the stumps)
• U15s win a nail-bitting match against Hartley Wintney, in a high scoring match chasing 158 with 6 needed off the last 2 balls, Rhodes Franklin held his nerve to hit a magnificent 6 on the penultimate ball of the match to see us home.  (J O'Keefe 50 no, T Halson 49, R Franklin 26 no)

• Tie Night - food, fun and games enjoyed by over 50 people after the matches on Saturday,  wish I'd been there (with my camera), but these are some of the delights which were seen, so just use your imagination and if anyone does have photos let me know!

  • Ryan Bone in a duck suit WITH bowtie.     Collection box to sponsor him wearing it while keeping during the T20 on Tuesday evening starting soon!
  • Trying to teach people clapping games and the unsuccessful efforts of certain people...
  • The Owl game bringing tears of laughter to many eyes
  • The who? The witch! And the endless failing of catching and throwing of, by lack of anything else, clementines. (I thought we were cricketers?!)
