U17 win County Cup
The U17s won the Hampshire U17 County Cup – the Kerry Cup – for the second year in a row. Playing Portsmouth and Southsea at the Nursery Ground at the Rose Bowl, the U17s reduced the P&S batting to 73 all out after 14.1 overs. Miles Covers and Chris James took 7 wickets for 16 runs between them, but the entire team showed commitment and skill in excellent fielding performance.
The P&S total was never enough, openers Jonny Dow and James Halson scoring the runs required in the 11th over.
