Yateley U15s win the West of England Regional Finals and now qualify for the National finals

In the semi final Skipper Charlie Harris led from the front scoring 54no
as we were bowled out for only 92 on a difficult wicket. Jacob Vincent
gave great support late in the innings.
When we took to the field Ben Tucker led the way with fine figures of 4
for 6 off 4 overs . Charlie and Ollie Soames also chipped in with 2
wickets. The fielding was superb and St Fagans were bowled out for 55
leaving us victors by 37 runs.
In the final we were up against Budleigh Salterton
from Devon and a thoroughly professional performance saw us 9 wicket
winners. Budleigh batted first and were always on the backfoot. Ollie
Dodds bowled brilliantly taking 3 for 9 and Miles Covers 3 for 14.
Budleigh finished on 106 for 6 and it never looked enough.
Jimmy Halson took off like a train and scored 37 before being out with
the score at 53. Then Ollie Soames 36 no and Miles Covers 21no saw us to
109 for 1 and a 9 wicket victory
Jimmy also must be thanked for doing an excellent job as stand in wicket keeper !!!
A special thanks to all the parents who made our trip to Somerset such a
memorable event and I am looking forward to glass of sparkling water in
Leicestershire !!
Role of honour as this was a performance based on 12 players who gelled fantastically as a team.
