Yateley Villagers have made a good start to their indoor season with 6 wins from 6. The Villagers have dropped down to Division 2 of Serious Cricket League this season, and are proving too strong for their opposition. Last week the Villagers demolished previously unbeaten Overton by 113 runs with Ant Muir scoring 60no, Dan Vincent 41 no and Harry Bartlett 25no. Harry took the man of the match award with his 1-1 off 3 overs supported by Rob Barrett with 1-18.
Yateley welcome back Charlie Harris to the fold. Charlie stopped playing cricket 3 years ago but is back and has lost none of his potential as his bowling is proving too hot for the opposition to handle. Look forward to seeing you in the summer Charlie!!!!!
Yateley have used the opportunity to give experience to 2 youngsters, Ben Simmons and Josh Balcombe. Both are more than holding their own and Josh had bowling figures of 0-13 against KmCV. Ben is joint top wicket taker with 5 wickets.
Yateley Cavaliers have won 3 of their 7 games and currently lie mid table. Gerhardt continues to play a young side supported by the experience of himself, Chris Petts and Ant Muir. Harry Maxfield tops the scoring with 118 runs, with the wickets spread around.
The Ladies have won 2 of their 4 games against some strong oppositions and currently lie third in their League.
