YCC: Highlights Weekend 8/9th May – Maiden Century for Anthony, 50s for Brian, Andy and Ssebanja

No wins for the senior teams this weekend, but lots of runs scored and some good individual performances. Click here for details of all matches.

- Whoever fed the Ladies today, but I’m sure it was equally delicious (let me know who it was and I will thank them properly next week).
Brian’s 50 - Congratulations to Brian Denston who celebrated his 50th season with the club, he returned to the clubhouse having played at Boyne Hill and was presented with a tankard by Colin Justice in recognition of playing a macth in Yateley colours for the 50th successive season. Colin congratulated Brian on this fantastic achievement and read a number of tributes from old team-mates. He also thanked Brian, who has coached in the youth section for well over 20 years, for his massive contribution to the development of very many young cricketers. Colin noted that Brian is still enthusiastically training U7s on Friday evenings, albeit that they are a bit too quick for him!! Congratulations from us all Brian and ‘many thanks again’”

More 50s – on the pitch, ½ centuries for Andy Peace (57) and Ssebanja (50) who we are delighted to welcome back. You will see more of Ssebanja around the club this year as he is living locally so will be helping with senior and juniors coaching and working on the ground.
