The Selection Committee meets each Monday evening. It is the responsibility of every member to ensure that his availability is known to the Selection Committee by one of the following methods:

1. Posting on this web site (details to be provided).
2. Completing the Availability Chart in the Clubhouse.
3. Emailing the Selection Committee the day before the selection meeting.
4. Telephoning last minute changes to the Committee Chairman or Vice Chairman before the meeting

If your availability is not notified as above it will be assumed that you are not available for selection.

The selection policy includes the following:

1. Saturday teams have priority for those players only available one day at the weekend.
2. 1st XI’s take precedence over 2nd XI’s and 2nd XI’s over 3rd XI’s.
3. All XI’s to be picked on merit to maximise the strength of the team.
4. Sunday/Saturday Captains to liaise to ensure that Saturday players get regular practice ‘in the middle’.
5. Additional fixtures will be arranged as necessary to ensure that all fully paid-up members get a game at least every 2 weeks.
6. ‘Prima donnas’ will not be tolerated - players will play where they’re picked, regardless.
7. Late ‘dropouts’ will be chastised.
8. If a player is taken from a lower XI due a late ‘dropout’ (after Thursday), the ‘taking’ Captain is responsible for finding a replacement for the lower XI.
9. Members who have not paid their annual subscriptions by the due date (or are behind with match fees) will not be considered for selection.
