Fixture Secretary

Joined the club in 1974 at the tender age of 14 and has remained the eternal colt ever since.

Much of his playing career has been as a nomad playing for whichever team needs a specialist bat & field anywhere man, although he was regarded as an excellent all-round fielder in his younger days. Stuart never really fulfilled his potential with the bat, although this pattern was reversed in 1999 when he had his best ever season, featuring in the League averages, even beating that master batsman Chris Jacobs.

Held several posts since first coming onto the committee in 1980 with varying degrees of failure, these include 100 Club Secretary, Entertainment’s Manager, 3rd XI Captain, Cricket Chairman, Fund-Raising Manager, Grounds Manager and now Fixture Secretary.

Often seen at the new pavilion with his family in tow, all helping out in some way or another, be it teas, colts, bar, Webb Ivory or BBQ’s.
