We have received verbal agreement from the ECB that our grant application has been successful subject to formal planning approval from Hart District Council. The official offer and terms and conditions will be received by 23 May when we will be authorised to instruct our supplier, Agripower, to commence work. We are in contact with Agripower to ascertain the likely start date. We are now very hopeful that we will be able to play on the second ground in 2009. I, Chris Jacobs, will continue to be our ECB liaison officer and Ken Boxall will be our technical project manager. We have engaged the services of a specialist consultant, Jon Smith of GEO Turf Consultants, to advise us. The total project costs are £90,740, Having transferred £7,685 from our development fund the amount still to find is £15,000. As you know we have a number of fund raising activities on the go. The Race Night was very successful in raising £1,600 and we are hopeful that the forthcoming Fun Day will be even better. We'll be keeping everyone abreast of developments with frequent posts on this website. post |
We have a fund raising target of £15,000 for the planned new ground next to the football pitch at Sean Devereaux Park. The Race Night was held for this purpose and there will be other events in the coming months. The total cost to develop the new ground is £90,740. Where this is going to come from is explained the documents below. As a ClubMark accredited and Hampshire CCC Focus Club we are able to apply to the ECB for grants. We have submitted an application for £68,055 and, having jumped through lots of hoops, we are now in the final stage of the process. In theory we should get the result within a month. For those interested in the details the following documents can be downloaded by clicking on the links below, although I wouldn't recommend the last two unless you suffer from insomnia: Summary of project as provided to the ECB, including objectives, conduct and costs: ProjectSummary.doc (41K) Breakdown of the costs: ProjectCosts.doc (45K) Supplier selection: SupplierAnalysis.doc (40K) Drawing and site plan: SitePlan.pdf (2.3MB) ITT sent to potential contractors: InvitationToTender.pdf (448K) Detailed programme of works: ProgrammeOfWorks.xls (197K) If anyone wants more details please contact me. |
Thanks for all who supported the Race Night, which was a great evening. We raised £1,634.44 towards the new ground fund. This was a fantastic effort by the organisers, Debbie and Stuart Hill. Thanks guys. Thanks also to all our race sponsors: |
